The week of training had been grueling. Men who lived and breathed computers had taught the class. They seemed to frequently grow irritated by the class of novices who asked so many questions.
But their zeal for the new system was contagious, and Sharon welcomed something new and challenging to engage her mind.
They had given each one in the class a large textbook and stated that they were only touching the surface. They emphasized that each person should take an extended class in the future. Sharon had also taken copious notes.
The Monday after class, Sharon arrived at the station and went straight to Bill’s office. “Well, how did it go?” Bill asked.
