Chapter 17 Section 3
Donna - November 1974
The weather was growing colder. Usually they still had pretty nice weather up until the end of December or the beginning of January, but lately the wind had been gusting and growing colder, and that meant more time in the cabin.
Donna had been journaling since the beginning, but lately she had been doing it more often. She had encouraged Buddy to make more things in his father’s wood shop.
He was getting better, but still needed some practice. She had told him that since Christmas was coming, more people might want what he made. With that, he was spending more time away from her and Molly Sue.
As the wind beat hard against the cabin, Donna stood reading her ‘thankful’ list. It was hard on days like this. She wanted to be out enjoying the world, even just her little world. It was easy to grow morose when the weather was bad.
